Janatar kalam report :- The Central Bureau of Communication, Field Office Kailashahar, is under the Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, creating awareness campaign in the state of Tripura in both Urban and Rural areas. The Bureau organized the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) and Right to Vote for the upcoming General Elections. This is a flagship program of the Election Commission of India for voter education, spreading voter awareness and promoting voter literacy in India.
The main purpose is to educate the citizens, electors and voters about the electoral process. Our Vision is to enlighten, enable and empower every citizen to register as a voter and cast his/her vote at every election in an informed and ethical manner. It also covers Article 326, 61st Amendment Act, 1989 of the constitution of India which provides the right to vote for every citizen of India and reduced the voting age from 21 years to 18 years.
Smt Soma Deb, Senior Deputy Magistrate, Unakoti District was the Chief Guest of the function. Dr. Asit Dutta, Principal, Netaji Vidyapith English Medium Higher Secondary School, Kailashahar as the Special Guest and Dr. Pinaki Pal, Principal, Ramkrishna Mahavidyalaya, Kailashahar, presided over the function.
